Do you want to move and feel better so you can enjoy a better life?

Is that happening like you want?

Come on… admit it.

This isn’t the first time you’ve watched a video or read an article hoping to find what you are looking for.

You are about to discover How to LIVE THE TOTAL HEALTH DREAM!

Lets start by talking about 4 things that we can all agree on, that you have to have to survive. The first 3 are easy, they are tangible things that if we stop doing we don’t make it very long.

Oxygen – You gotta breath. It sounds like common sense but if you don’t breath you are gonna die pretty quick.

Water – thats essential for life of course. We will talk more about water later in this video.

Food – eating is important to live too, and if we stop eating we can make it longer than the previous two things, but we still won’t last too long.

You know what the 4th thing is? It’s called our Innate Intelligence, or inborn intelligence. Bear with me for about 15 seconds here, you have to recognize the intelligence that is inside you, if you scratch your arm it heals right? Our bodies are truly miracles. Think about how we are created for a second. Sperm and egg get together and they form 1 cell.

And isn’t it amazing that the cells divide, and pretty soon it’s 2 cells, then 4, then 8 and before you know it you have a brain, and spinal cord. Then the other organs and body parts grow off the spinal cord and spinal nerves like a fruit on a tree. It’s so important that you have to grow a skull and vertebrae around the brain and spinal cord to protect the delicate tissue.

Pretty amazing right?

So we are talking about brain and nerve function, but you have to recognize that even before the brain there was an intelligence there that contained life and made it all come together and happen. Chiropractors call that our innate intelligence. Some people call it our spirit, some just call it energy, whatever you call it you know it’s there.

So when we are talking about the total health DREAM, we are thinking about the core fundamentals of life and survival in the most basic sense. And we are putting them to daily practice in a way that you can start doing right now to improve your health and life!

Now as a chiropractor I tend to spend most my focus on spinal health and musculoskeletal or neurologic problems, but if you are here I think you probably already understand that keeping that nerve flow as good as possible is vital. One thing you can do right now is make sure that no matter what you are doing, you have your shoulders, back, and your cheekbone is over your collar bone. If standing, make sure your lifting your belly button in to arch your low back. in a car make sure your head is touching the headrest is another easy test. Posture is huge and Our Innate Intelligence flows better when you take the stress off it and it should have no interference. So we will circle back to that topic later on.

Lets talk about one of the most basic essentials. Water.

What is health without hydration? Every living thing on this planet needs water, and 70% of americans are dehydrated. Our muscles are 60% water and our brain is 85% so it’s important.

You might be dehydrated if you are experiencing any of these signs: headaches, lack of energy, weight gain, lack of cleansing and detoxification, a weakened immune response, digestive problems, muscle aches, getting colds and flus easily, and feeling lethargic or even experiencing brain fog.

It’s so vital to know how to stay hydrated, in fact it’s one of the first things I always talk about with people at Total Health is to make sure you are staying very hydrated. This helps you recover faster from exercise, adjustments, helps with soreness, digestion, immune system, everything really. Sweating isn’t a bad thing, in fact it’s very healthy too. It helps you to get rid of toxins, and has many other benefits, so it’s more important to just be sure and drink enough water.

So how much water should you be drinking?

The easy answer is half your body weight in ounces per day. If thats all you remember from this video please remember that. If you weight 100 lbs, you need 50 oz of water per day, but I’m close to to 200 lbs so I need more like 100 oz per day. Thats more like 8-12 glasses of water depending on how large they are. If you like to drink coffee, sodas, teas, you need even more because your body is more acidic when you drink those types of things.

Speaking of acidity, I think it’s important to mention that you want to be slightly alkaline, or have a higher ph in your water. Our water quality is not good these days, so I recommend you check and make sure your water is free of fluoride, chlorine, and any other harmful chemicals. This will take some work, but you can buy a water testing kit online, or you can simply be proactive and get a quality filtration system.

Just drinking water isn’t the only factor in staying hydrated though. Did you know that many of the fruits and vegetables we consume can help us to become better hydrated as well as helping to replenish our electrolytes? Eating a good variety of fruits and veggies is important for many reasons but hydration is definitely one of them and we will talk more about that later.

Some people argue that you can drink TOO MUCH water. While water intoxication is possible, it’s incredibly unlikely, but in something that will prevent that is consuming unrefined sea salt with your food or as a supplement. Either Celtic or Pink Himalayan is the best kind. Along with the fact that sea salt helps balance your water and potassium levels, it also alkalizes the body and is loaded with trace minerals that are good for a ton of other things including actually regulating blood pressure!

You need to exercise to improve circulation too and that helps to make sure that all these great nutrients are getting to your cells and appropriate body parts like they should and we will make a different video on exercise, but just know that we recommend some form of consistent regular exercise too.

It’s important to mention too that our skin is our largest living organ. They call our skin the 3rd kidney. So I’m not just talking about the water you drink, but also what you bathe in needs to be good quality too because our skin absorbs whatever is in our water just as much as it pushes toxins out through sweating.

At this point you might feel a little overwhelmed by the fact that there are so many areas of your health that are affected by water.

What I recommend you do with the information I have given you is just take 1 thing that you learned and start doing it tomorrow. Total Health is a journey, not a destination so we need to make small steps in the right direction so that they can become part of our daily life.

If you found this information helpful, stay tuned, because there is a lot more where that came from. And if you know anybody who could benefit from watching or reading it please share it with them.
